Horseback Riding Pack Trips in Idaho
Experience our beautiful wilderness spending a few days in the saddle on your mountain horseback riding vacation! With our 2 and 3 day overnight Idaho horse pack trips, you’ll encounter true western hospitality as we provide mountain camp accommodations consisting of large wall tents with cots and a solar shower for added comfort. Many of our guests enjoy early morning or evening wildlife safari’s heading out on scenic horseback riding trails or hiking where elk, deer, antelope and an occasional mountain goat or sheep can be viewed and photographed.
Goat Lake, at an elevation of 9,400 feet is an additional 4 1/2 mile ride from the Cow Creek camp. This secluded, beautiful Alpine mountain lake is loaded with native trout and offers some pleasant fishing.

If camping isn’t your first choice, then you may enjoy joining Rawhide Outfitters for a 1/2 day, or full day guided horseback trail ride. We will delight you with homemade treats on our 1/2 day trail ride and a delicious picnic on a full day horseback trail ride. Spend your evenings in one of our area motels, bed & breakfasts or other inviting local accommodations in Salmon Idaho.
