Horse Trail Rides in Idaho
Our horseback trail rides and overnight horseback pack trips offer an excellent opportunity to saddle up on gentle mountain horses and explore the spectacular scenic countryside of Idaho. Guided horseback riding is led by John, Justin and Luke, they share their knowledge of the area, watch for opportunities to view a variety of wildlife, and help ensure a safe and quality horse riding vacation. Guided Horse back riding parties are a great idea if you are searching for something out of the ordinary for a family vacation or a great way to reconnect with your friends! For added adventure you may want to consider a combined whitewater rafting and horseback riding trip.

1/2 Day Horseback Trail Ride
Half day guided horseback trail riding with-in a close proximity of the town of Salmon, one of the best Idaho vacation spots. Enjoy morning or afternoon guided horseback riding with approximate time in the saddle from 2 to 3 hours depending on guest’s time schedule and level of enjoyment. A homemade treat and drink is included.
1 Day Horseback Trail Rides
One day horseback trail rides consists of trail horse riding into our Cow Creek base mountain camp located in the majestic Lemhi Range of the Rocky Mountains. This 4 1/2 mile ride takes about 1 1/2 hours of mountain horseback riding to camp. Camp is nestled in a beautiful meadow with Cow Creek flowing down from the high mountain peaks. After savoring a delicious lunch riding the trails around camp, a little fishing, horse shoe throwing or relaxing by the cool water creek can be enjoyed before riding back to the trailhead toward the end of the day.
1/2 Day or 1 Day Lewis & Clark Horseback Trail Ride

Horseback Pack Trips
Desiring more time in the saddle and a longer wilderness experience on your mountain horseback riding vacation? With our 2 and 3 day overnight horseback riding pack trips, you’ll encounter true western hospitality as we provide mountain camp accommodations consisting of large wall tents with cots and solar shower. Many of our guests enjoy early morning or evening wildlife safari’s heading out horseback riding trails or hiking where elk, deer, antelope and an occasional mountain goat or sheep can be viewed and photographed. Goat Lake, at an elevation of 9,400 feet is an additional 4 1/2 mile ride from the Cow Creek camp. Reservations and Cancellation
Land based activity prices are subject to 6% Idaho sales tax.
Making reservations are encouraged to insure the date/dates and activities you wish to do.
A 30% deposit is requested to reserve all trips.
In case of cancellation, deposits are unrefundable, but full amount may be credited to future dates.
